A method designed to take the student through a visual process,
focusing only, on the first seven letters of the alphabet; centering around
Middle C, with the use of a guided flashcard.
This interactive e-book isn't just for children with
disabilities. It's suitable for anyone who wishes to learn, but is afraid to
try and lacks confidence.
This method will show them how easy it is to learn to play the
piano
.
Normally, music students, who already know the alphabet, are
asked what they associate with A B C D E F G, for example, A for Apple, B for
Banana, et cetera.
Therefore, I have used these Fruit & Vegetable associations
to represent music notes at the beginning.
I have subtly built in the concept of aural training which is
often overlooked in pitch recognition.
The sound files added to each farm produce will enhance this
development, maybe to improve relative pitch which is so imperative at a later
stage in life for composing music, improve sight-reading skills et
cetera...benefits are manifold.
People with Autism love letters, numbers, phoneme/grapheme
association, picture associations, puzzles, systematic order, consistency,
straight lines, predictability, illustrations, music and nature.
The advantage of using jigsaw puzzles in the classroom:
Today, a jigsaw puzzle in the classroom is more often used as a
game. Of course, you can use these puzzle games to teach your students a
valuable lesson as well.
That said, the biggest advantage of using jigsaw puzzles in your
lesson is the possibility to combine a fun and interactive teaching method with
a valuable educational lesson. Students are not just making a jigsaw, they’re
learning and practising as well.
Jigsaw puzzles are the perfect way for students to practise
learning material with each other. While doing so, they train their brain by
thinking logically when putting all the pieces together.
